Hi all,

I hope you all had an wonderful weekend.  The weather here was amazing and we tried to take in as much of it as possible.  My mom and dad came into town on Friday, so that my mom and I could go to the Oprah magazine O You event downtown.  I can honestly say that when I heard about this event a few weeks ago, I bought the tickets on a bit of a whim, not really knowing what I was getting myself into.  I just thought it would be a fun thing to do with my mom.  Well, Oprah, as usual, did not disappoint.  We saw Gayle, Nate, Dr. Oz, Suze Orman, Peter Walsh(who is hilarious, by the way) and even Oprah herself!  I’m still sorting through tons of photos, so I’ll give you the full rundown on Wednesday.

I realized this weekend that I had never shared my photos from my Scott’s trip a couple of weeks ago.  There was nothing that I really needed, but the looking was fabulous as always.  Heidi and I wandered up and down the aisles and took in all the fabulous inspiration that was everywhere.  Here are a few things we saw.

I don’t know about you, but I love calligraphy brushes.  They look so beautiful lying on a table on hanging on one of these great stands from here.

It was everything I could do not to snatch up these gorgeous mid-century chairs!

This piece was made from metal boxes that were used in an old textile factory.  What a great side table!

Great coffee table options.  This last one was made from parts of an old ship’s door.

Heidi’s favs!  We went back several times to look at them.

We saw some beautiful artwork, but this was my favorite.  Can you tell what it is?  Picture the two canvases pushed close together.  Do you see the octopus?  The photo does no justice to the color and the little flecks of gold leaf that was used.

Another great abstract by the same artist.

And, last but not least, this beautiful vignette.  I love everything about it.

Hope you enjoyed the tour!  Heidi and I certainly did.  Oh, to have an unlimited supply of funds!  Oh well, have a great day everyone!  See you back here on Wednesday for my rundown on the Oprah extravaganza!!
