Shannon asked me the other day what I had done with the painting I bought on our trip to Ashville a last month, so I thought it was a good time to show you what I’ve been doing in my guest bath. Don’t get too excited, it’s still void of color, but I’m working on it. I wish I had some before pics to show you, but I had no idea I would need them when we first moved in. Just picture, really bad wainscoting and bright yellow paint. Maybe that’s why I have kept it so neutral…
The faux bois wallpaper that I chose is from Candace Olson and no, I didn’t hang it myself. The wallpaper was a bit pricey, but I didn’t need a lot because the bath is small. So, remember if you have a wallpaper that you love, think about using it in a small space, so it’s a bit more budget friendly.
Okay, Shannon, here’s the painting. (By the way, you really can’t style the toilet tissue holder. Guess I should have taken it out? Then I would have had to take more photos. Oh well…) If you remember from this post, I bought the artwork at Screen Door in Asheville, NC. I’m not sure if this is where it will stay, but for now it works. The Roman blind is next on my list. More pics to come!
I’m off to a fun blogger dinner tonight. Hope it’s a great day for you!
I love that painting – it’s perfect right there. And I’m excited to see what you do with the roman shade and what fabric you end up using. It’s a very pretty guest bath.
Very nice! Love that wall paper & the painting is perfect in that spot.
Nice! And I LOVE the light fixture is that Currey & Co?
Love, love, love that wallpaper!! Take care, Caroline
Awesome! This means that you will think about me and your time in the mountains everytime you’re on the shitter!! One could interpret that different ways, I’m sure, but I will choose to take it as a compliment 😉
It looks amazing, Lori. Love the wallpaper and the painting is the perfect accent!!
