First of all, let me start by apologizing for my sporadic posts lately.  We made it through the first week of school pretty well, but we were all exhausted by the end of the week.  This week will be interesting as well, as we add on swimming and soccer to our busy schedules.  But no worries, bear with me and we will all get back into the swing of things soon.  Doesn’t it seem like summer was weeks ago now? (Even though it’s still blazing hot here in Atlanta!)

I did make time for some design fun this week.  I met with a new client that I love! One of the best things about my job is meeting with people and discussing how they want their spaces to look and feel.  Sometimes you get a call from someone who has a great sense of style, but just needs a little help with the details.  This describes my new client perfectly.  She has a beautiful home that will be even more so when we add the finishing touches.  Her style is a bit modern, but comfy and she loves neutral colors.

When I left her last week, I immediately thought of Pinterest. (Have you tried it yet? If not, beware, it’s true what they say, it’s addicting!) I started by collecting photos of spaces of neutral inspiration.  Here’s what I found…

Love all the patterns in this one.  Still neutral, but instead of pops of color, it’s the graphic prints that steal the show.

Love the mix of modern and rustic elements.

Same here, the mix of modern and rustic makes this work beautifully. Love the wood accents and the hint of blue in the rug and artwork.

I adore this space.  Do you ever want to change everything in your house?  If I could, this is what I would do to my home. One of these days…(My husband just looked at me like I had two heads, when I read him this part!)

I love the idea of adding a more rustic, possibly antique piece of furniture to a modern space.

The texture here is wonderful.  I love how the neutral color palette focuses your attention on the view.

And no room is complete without a little sparkle (or a lot!) Love it!

Head on over to Pinterest and check out my pins.  I’m fairly new to it, but I’d love for you to follow.  If you’re on Pinterest, let me know, I’d love to see your pins!

Happy Monday!
