Okay, so it’s time for my reveal of the office project on a budget! This was a great project to work on. Now, don’t get me wrong, I would love to have a client with an unlimited budget and a room that’s a blank slate. But, just like with our own homes, very rarely do we have this situation. Who wants to throw everything out and completely start over (Well, there are some rooms, but you get the idea!)? We take what we have and what we love and work with it. That’s what I did with this project. Here’s the before again…
And the after!
I am having a window seat cushion made to soften this side and add more seating. I’m also adding a few accessories to the left bookcase to create balance.
Remember the crazy red bookcases from yesterday’s post! Not so bad now, huh?
This is a plaque that was created completely by hand by one of my clients constituents. While the colors were a bit bright for the rest of the palette, it works in the completed room.
This is the wall across from the desk. I created a gallery of photos that can be added to over time.
So, there you have it! One office, $1500 budget.
It looks great! I love the bookcase! Thanks for sending me the link to the Barnlight giveaway 🙂 We will have to try to meet up again when I am up your way…thinking maybe July Home Market this year…
I haven’t been to market in a while. Love to meet up when you’re here!
Lori…those bookshelves really dressed up so nice! What a deal that was. The grasscloth really added a nice touch also. Good job!
Thanks Sherry! I love the grasscloth as well and it was such an easy solution!
