Any big plans for Labor Day?  It’s supposed to mark the end of summer, but here in Atlanta, it’s still almost 100 degrees outside.  It doesn’t feel very much like fall yet.  But, Labor day always signals a new season around the corner and fall is by far my favorite, so it’s always an exciting time.  This weekend I’ll be spending some much needed time with my family.  For us, it’s all about food, family and fun, with an extra emphasis on the food part.  Here are a few things that have inspired our Labor Day celebration.

I love the homemade garland.  Even the kids’ could help out with this project!

These sand candles are so easy to make and give a colorful glow to your centerpiece.  They could work for any holiday, you’d just need to change the sand color.  Red and green for Christmas, pastels for Easter…

Love these napkins.  What a fun way to add color and style to your table!

A Labor Day celebration wouldn’t be complete with a good burger.

Ice cream and a cupcake.  Does it really get any better than that?

Love how they displayed the cupcakes.  Simple and yet the colors pop.

And last but not least, we have to have the festive beverage.  This one is perfect!  What are your plans for the weekend?  Are you hosting a get together at your house?  Will you be decorating and preparing special foods?  Love to hear all about it!  Take care!
